We have been operating in the photovoltaic system since 2005 when hardly anyone in Italy knew a thing about alternative energy. And this decision proved to be very rewarding.

Manufacturing high-quality photovoltaic panels and components requires in-depth knowledge and hi-tech equipment.

Thanks to our automated assembly line, Invent is a leading-edge production site with an annual capacity of 160 megawatts, among Italy’s first.

STRINGING

Stringing is the first and one of the most important stages in a photovoltaic module production process.

Here at Invent, this stage is completely automated thanks to pneumatic arms and conveyor belts that position the cells and connect them with the ribbon.

The different temperature in the various areas of the string helps optimise the welding stage.

ASSEMBLY

The combined activity of three automations – anthropomorphic robot, EVA cutting, and solar glass loading – makes the multilayer assembly (glass, cells, EVA) extremely quick and accurate.

This automated procedure ensures high productivity and high quality without requiring any manual operation.

LAMINATION AND TRANSFER

The lamination process is essential for the correct operation and durability of the module.

The vacuum lamination process allows the various layers of the panel (glass, EVA, and backsheet) to be joined with the silicon cells, thereby creating one sole body.

This operation is preceded by an accurate inspection of the module to detect any anomaly and complete the electrical connections.

APPLICATIONS AND COMPONENTS

The addition of module’s perimeter frame and the application of a junction box for the electrical connections are carried out by qualified personnel who work at semi-automated workstations.

We at Invent always carry out these processes with special care and attention to ensure the best Italian quality.

INSPECTION

At the end of the assembly line, the photovoltaic panels undergo several tests to verify their functionality (at 6000 volts) and power (tested individually).

Each operation (flash-test) is automatically associated with a serial number, which is placed inside the laminated part.

Then, we create an indelible tag which is applied automatically on the back of the module.

FINISHES AND PACKAGING

Here at Invent, finishes are made with the help of an ABB anthropomorphic robot, which label, engrave, and package the panels on four different platforms, depending on the power certified during the inspection (sorting).
